Meta’s new app for changing videos looks like it will be really cool.

Because it wasn’t clear if TikTok would be banned in the U.S., Meta released its own version of CapCut, the famous video editing app owned by ByteDance that would also be limited by the TikTok sell-off bill. The new app, Edits, looks a lot like CapCut. It has many tools for editing videos, and Meta wants to give them away for free. The first version will come out next month in some places.

And people are definitely paying attention.

After the app comes out, people will be able to:

Record movies up to 10 minutes long and save drafts, for more exact control, edit with a playback timeline, trending audio insights and real-time popular material can help you get creative ideas, Can record high-quality videos, get access to full video analysis.

This first set of features looks good, but Instagram just recently shared more information about new features that could get even more people excited.

A creator collaboration tool is one of the best things about development. It lets users ask other people to work on their projects.

This is similar to a function that is currently available in CapCut, thus it is not completely new. On the other hand, including it within Meta’s ecosystem could make it easier and more convenient to work together and partner on projects.

However, the new AI features from Meta are expected to generate more enthusiasm. These features are expected to expand the creative possibilities within the app. Meta is also working on an AI feature that will allow users to animate specific elements within their videos.
